Bills VS Patriots Preview
I feel like Mike Hanlon, and I just found Georgie Denbrough's picture next to the mutilated corpse of a little girl.
The Bills are off to a nice 2-0 start. They're starting to erase the memories of last year's awful season, and maybe move forward from the last decade-plus of futility.
And here come the fucking Patriots to ruin everything.
The Bills have lost to the Pats 15 straight times, since their only win against New England in the Tom Brady era, a glorious 31-0 mudhole stomping on opening day 2003.
I am holding out hope that the Bills improved offense, and New England's less than impressive defense will help keep Buffalo in the game. However, that may not be enough, as Tom Brady has thrown for over 500 and over 400 yards in his first two games, and last week the Bills made Jason Campbell and his corps of backup wide receivers look like the 1980s 49ers.
I am hoping, like Hanlon did, that he's wrong. That the nightmare from his past is not returning, but the fact is, he knows that IT is eating children again, just like I know that the Pats are going to eat Buffalo's lunch...again.
I hate to do it, but my predicition is 42-24 New England, as Buffalo either falls behind right away, or stays in the game for a bit, before committing some costly errors to put them too far behind.
I miss the good old days when New England still had Pat Patriot on their helmet, and Kelly's boys would demolish them on a regular basis.
Maybe Brady will tear another ligament...
